Bringing Bronze to Life

David Paul Venell began his sculpting career in 2004. His first attempt at sculpture was "Jungle Patrol." Having no formal training in the medium, he struggled through every aspect, from the clay maquette to the finished bronze sculpture.

As a tribute to the Marines who have served, Dave donated four of his first sculptures to the Marine Corps Museum at Quantico.

Having served in the military and worked various military related jobs, he feels his work ethic and attention to detail have had a direct influence in each sculpture he creates.

As an artist, Dave considers there is no higher compliment than to have his work inspire memories, emotions, and sometimes tears.

Awards & Recognition

David Paul Venell is honored to have been recognized with the Colonel John W. Thomason, Jr. Award for Art from the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation.
